    GRACol 7 and G7
Vermillion recently achieved G7 Expert certification from the IDEAlliance. G7 is a methodology that is used to verify adherence to proof-to-print standards such as GRACol 7 or SWOP 11. GRACol, which stands for General Requirements for Applications in Commercial Offset Lithography, is maintained by the IDEAlliance and is recognized as the ISO 12647 standard. The purpose of this standard is to help print buyers, designers, and others have a reference source for quality offset printing. Vermillion is committed to producing the highest quality printing and was therefore very interested in achieving this certification.

The benefits of GRACol to customers:

    * Reduces costs, decreases turn-around times and avoiding re-makes.
    * Creates guidelines for reliable process controls.
    * Improves proof to press match--what you see is what you get.

The G7 methodology is one that ³breaks from tradition by focusing on colorimetric data for gray balance in the mid-tones rather than on densitometric aims, i.e. dot gain, for each color. G7 is named for its gray scale calibration technique and the 7 ISO ink colors it requires.² (www.gracol.org)
